Although nobody knows you better than you, self-discovery is a continual part of life. You don’t have to have it all figured out, and you don’t need to go through it alone.
Sharing your story and evolving your narrative is a powerful process. I am so excited to walk alongside you as you do just that.
My own narrative has evolved time and time again. Each time, it leaves room for more perspective and more self-discovery – who I once thought I was has turned out to be shaped by so much more than I ever realized. Through my own work in therapy, I have learned that my family, childhood experiences, societal expectations, and values have all led me to how I experience the world today; they have all played a role in my passions, curiosities, and drive for continuous growth.
Using systems-based theory and an attachment lens, I seek to explore together the facets of your identity. I have an authentic, empathic, and playful therapeutic style that allows my clients to feel safe sharing about their experiences. I understand that being vulnerable can be hard, and I balance a direct and gentle approach to help you feel comfortable to open up in therapy.
I view the therapist-client relationship as that of a sun and sunflower: a young sunflower tracks the sun as it rises from the east and sets in the west, soaking up as much nutrients as it can. As the flower matures, it no longer requires as much sun to sustain its
growth. And, eventually, the sunflower forever faces east. My role is to remain
as constant as the sun, while guiding you, the sunflower, to recognize your
potential and thrive as you are.I believe that everyone has strengths to be uncovered and resilienceto be celebrated. I work with many populationsincluding those tackling depression, anxiety, and relationship conflict. I enjoy working collaboratively with both individuals and couples, tailoring my approach to what works best for them.
I have a passion for traveling and especially love the outdoors. You will likely find me hiking or on a boat somewhere… anywhere. I love adventure and can’t wait to hear about all of yours!
