BREAKFAST SEMINAR FAQ'S:
WHAT IS IT? The “Seminar Series Breakfast Club” is a drop in, therapist-led topical seminar/discussion group format. The format features a preliminary education segment that lays the foundation for that day's topic, followed by a rich discussion that builds off of that premise.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT? We facilitate exploration of a range of growth and healing topics leveraging classic theories and cutting-edge concepts in the realms of psychology, human behavior, and neuroscience.
DO I HAVE TO TALK? Absolutely not. This tends to be lively group with lots of sharing of personal experiences, question asking, reflecting, teaching and learning, so there is always plenty of material to take in and privately process internally, whether you chose to speak or not. We have plenty of attendees who prefer to just listen, and we welcome that presence in the group.
WHY WOULD SOMEONE WANT TO ATTEND? The Breakfast Club model creates a platform for personal growth alongside individuals who place value on emotional depth, and who are comfortable leaning into complex and/or delicate topics in a manner that is not always safe and/or available in our routine day to day lives and relationships.
WHAT IS THE VIBE? The environment creates opportunities for connection with self and others whether you choose to speak, or just listen. There is no "right way" to participate, because no matter what you say or don't say in our groups, you will be moved and astonished by the power of hearing this much honesty in one place.
WHO USUALLY GOES: The group ranges in size from 5-15 people and most commonly there are around 12. You are welcome to inquire confidentially (click here) as to how many people are slated to be in attendance, to help you decide if the situation is right for you. Attendees tend to be individuals who have personal or professional investment in the realms of mental health and wellness. We have attendees who are Evo-Life clients, employees, and/or friends and loved ones, colleagues and friends of the practice, and interested community members who learned of the group via word of mouth.
WHO IS APPROPRIATE TO ATTEND? There are no criteria or expectations for your attendance, other than a firm commitment to respectful behaviors towards others within the group, and a commitment to preserving the dignity and privacy of all group members both in and outside the room. You can count on the facilitator(s) to ensure the comfort level of each individual present, and the emotional safety of the group.
Anyone who is interested, and is a human being, is appropriate to participate in this group.
Trust us, it applies to you. We consistently receive glowing feedback about the impact this group has made in people's lives, and we promise that you will leave here looking at something in your life in a new way.
